Patakis Publishers was founded in 1974, by Stefanos Patakis and his wife Melpomene. Its first publications were in the area of educational books. Now Patakis Publishers publish books in all fields, with its key areas of publishing activity being in Education, Literature, the Humanities, Dictionaries, as well as Practical Guides and Diaries. Annually, Patakis Publishers publish up to 400 new titles and its general catalogue counts 5.000 titles in print, as well as other educational material. With its dictionaries unit Patakis Pulishers is taking a long-term view to publishing.
